54 Door Glass Removal

Ive done a search for the past 2 hours on removing the glass for the door of a 54. I've found several threads but no direct answer. Can anyone enlighten me on the step by step sequence to get the glass and lower track removed.

Thanks in advance Dave

After 3 hours of playing with the window I noticed the regulator rollers that ride in the window track has clips. Removed the clips, rollers and springs. This allowed the glass to drop to the bottom of the door. Rolled regulator to the top of its travel. Remove division bar (front guide) lift glass by hand and slid it out the access panel opening.

Hope this helps the next person.

Link is a picture of the roller and clip.

It will! I have to put my glass back in (they were already out when I bought the truck) I will just reverse your procedure and hopefully all will go smooth!

I was going to suggest a hammer.

You'll find that taking it out is much easier than re-installing. I was surprised how long it took me to put it all back together, and I'm still not completely happy with it. Take your time.
