51 F-1 heater leak

Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket (reproduction) heater for my 51 f1? It is leaking coolant out of the bottom and collecting on the floor mat. I do drive the truck in the cold so I don't want to just bypass the heater all together. I haven't found any reproduction 6v heaters in any of the resources I have at my disposal. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

i've heard of people taking their heater cores out and a radiator shop has been able to put a new core in and use the old tanks. might be worth a try.

I don't know much about the 51's but a quick search on "E-pay" showed several magic Air heaters and several different heater valves and core for sale.

Do you have a Magic Air heater or a standard box type heater ? The core can be repaired if the leak is around the top or bottom tank .If it is in the middle your done .A radiator repair shop can diagnos exactly where the leak is by pressure testing under water .It only has 7 lbs. of pressure while running .A direct replacement core is not available as to myknowledge . I have searched . To make one up is cost prohibited as far as I am concerned .If the core is shot get back to me . Thanks , firstrider ( Denny ) a.k.a. the '51 & '52 Magic Air heater guru on fte .
