Hey guys. I have access to a nice 1996 F250 Diesel 4x4. Has broke rear end and looks like wore out front end. (Tires badly worn...maybe just bad tires.) A friend has a rolled 1995 F350 4x4 at his farm. (Rolled into an irrigation canal) Axles are good....body not so much.
Wouldn't swapping in the 1 ton axles be pretty much "bolt in" other than removing the 250 axle pivot?? Both trucks are Powerstrokes.
I know I'd love to have a diesel again. Trying to decide if I should ad this to my "project" list along with my 1993 Bronco waiting for a tranny!
(I love finding new ways to upset my wife!)
Thanks for any input!

Yeah, it's pretty much bolt-in, assuming the F-350 is a pickup rather than a cab & chassis.
The cab & chassis rear axle is narrower than a pickup axle.

Yea, the 250 is an extra cab...350 is a crew cab. Just a damaged crew cab!! The "farm workers" looped a chain thru the cab and lifted/pulled it out with a front end loader! The grove owner was none too happy!!
