Drove the bump to work today. Thought I'd post some pics of the trans fluid leak. I'm posting these and then heading or the car wash to clean up the bottom a bit. I was thinking if I clean it up a bit more maybe I could tell where it was coming from a little better.

Are you sure the leak isn't motor oil, looks like the oil is farther ahead ....

check the level of the trans fluid, touch the oil with ure finger to figure out what it is...

There is defiantly motor oil leaking as well. But on the shop floor when it's parked, it leaves two spots... One thats black oil colored and the other reddish black spot about five or six inches behind. I thought I'd try to fix the trans fluid first cause I thought might be easier to fix.

Took it to the car was on my lunch break and and washed off the bottom area real quick. Drove it back to work and then a little while later drove it back home. Looked underneath just now and it looks like a oil is coming down the back and then blowing under the trans again. Looks like the best bet would be to worry about the oil leaks first?

I may take you up on that offer soon. Get this... took it for a quick grocery grab last night and the I could feel the breaks going out! I drove slow, did my thing, and by the time I got home I was pumping the pedal all the way to the floor boards to slow down. I crawled under with the light to take a quick look and I didn't see any break fluid behind the drums. I'll take another look at it when I get home and try to see what happened. Just 2 days ago I drove it to work and back in Austin on I35 traffic with no issues.

I'm also hearing a new noise in 1st and 2nd gear. Kinda like a hiss or a whistle sound that revs with the engine, but goes away when I pressed the clutch. I was thinking that might be a bearing in the trans?

too many variables to think about, I need some coffe

Can you pump your brakes and it build pressure but then slowly goes to the floor? If so, you're getting air into your system. If not, then either you have a blown brake wheel cylinder or your master cylinder needs to be rebuilt.

The other problem sounds like a throw out bearing going out to me.

Pumping them wasn't building up pressure. I'm heading home in a few. I'll see if I can find any leaks and check the master cylinder.

x2 on the throw out bearing. My uncle was telling me the same thing this morning. He was telling me it wasn't that hard to fix. Maybe for him lol
