Have you changed the gasket yet?
Quote short bed:
"So I suspected a vacuum leak, so I sprayed some carb cleaner around and found the center bolt on the upper intake was leaking."
I plan on doing that repair next weekend, I will have to borrow the long T40 socket to get to the middle bolt.
For now I did tighten up both bolts on the drivers side and that seemed to stop the leak. My spray tests didn't seem to find any other leaks.
I might try making a smoker to test for leaks that way, just got to find something that will burn slow and produce lots of smoke.
Update.
I think the idle issue has been resolved.
When I unplugged the IAC valve this morning while it was idling, it instantly started to idle rough.
Plugged it back in and checked the rpm's it was in the 600-700 area.
Did a tune up on her took her for a spin and she was idling in the same area.
I think giving the computer time to adjust is what did it, because I haven't touched anything with the idle since my first post on this subject.
Now next weekend given good weather I'll tackle the intake and valve covers.
