I am trying to add 3.5mm headphone jack to AUX

Hi all, I am trying to add a headphone jack to my stock ford stereo, it is model 7L3T-18C869-BH, it has the AUX button and shows line in when it is pushed. I found the wiring diagram for it and it shows there is a stereo input on the 16 pin Rear Center Entertainment/CD changer port. Also there is a 8 pin, my stereo doesnt have the 8 pin plug, but it does have the solder points for it inside the head unit, I have tried connecting it to the Aux+ and Aux- with no success. It seems like it is not active.
Anyone know how to do this without buying aftermarket $100 adapter, the stereo is worth $20 so I dont want to spend $100 on it.. I know there is a way to do it cause there is a guy on ebay selling them already modded with headphone aux. Just wondering if mine is the right model. Its out of a f150 2006.
I have spent hours looking all over the internet and found alot of info but none that applies to mine.
I will include the wiring diagram, I am trying to use the J3 1,2pins and 9,10pins. I have also tried the J4 pin 1,2 and 1,3. nothing.

I am not sure what you need for a signal but it seems to me that you need to power the aux aud enable pin 4 to get the aux to work. I would think it's as simple as powering the pin but by no means do I know that for sure or am I willing to try it to my radio. It could be a 12v or a .5v needed, maybe even the + side of the audio signal. I am also interested but I need to find a radio to tear into to figure it out as I am not willing to burn mine up and be without. If someone had a radio with the factory J4 plug could you test pin 4 and see what it does when the aux button is pressed?
