Front suspension repair

The broken leaf. It is supposed to be the same length on both sides!

Test fit of 1” lift block

Test fit of 1” lift block, minus the broken bottom leaf. Driver’s side

Passengers side

1” plate that I used to make the lift blocks. I cut this 12” long plate continuously with an oxy acetylene torch.
I decided to start repairing the front end damage from last year. The centering pin decided to shear on the passenger side leaf spring and took along the bottom leaf. The bottom leaf snapped in half.

I also replaced the center pins with grade 8 hardware with lock washers, red loctite, and my lock nuts. The u bolts will hopefully be replaced with custom bent 9/16” ones vs. the 1/2” ones pictured.

Not quite yet! I was just pulling it around at idle for now. Didn't have my new throttle cable hooked up yet. I hooked up to the trailer to make sure everything was going to be happy

That's awesome! How did you set up you shift levers with that added length?
That picture also makes me want to have a hitch like yours as well. I don't have a need for it, but it sure would be cool. Nice work!

Here's a bunch of pictures to catch everyone up on the build! New motor mounts and crossmember, fuse panel made from scratch, new wheels, transmission crossmember, and battery relocation just to name a few things that I've changed!
