I was wondering if using my 1963 ford f-100 4x4 for daily use would wreck any thing?
We all did in 1963 and the roads were alot worse, and they never plowed snow and there were a bunch of unpaved pot holed roads.
I've been driving my 65 for 6 years now, only problem I have is the freekin' salt they put on the roads. Mechanically she is perfect and her parts are way cheaper to replace when it does need repair, and I dont need my OBD2 scanner to make her run.
As long as the ol truck is mechanically sound, you should be able to drive it where you want. You already know it is gonna ride & drive like a 50 year old vehicle.

Yup they were made to be driven and worked back in the day. As long as the truck is road worthy and mechanically sound you shouldn't have any problems. My daily drivers been a 73 challenger for the past 5 years unless snows on the road. Gotta love em classics

So true. This is my first truck. It has the 352FE 4speed. How reliable are them 352?
Pretty reliable I have never had any quirky problems with mine, I do have a crack in the block(water jacket, someone neglected antifreeze before me) smokes really bad from valve seals(rebuilt over 25 years ago. but other than that it runs great other than just being old lol.
If it's a 352 then it's been swapped in because 352 was first available in F100 in 1965. But, it's a decent swap. I've got a 352 in my 4x4 that is at about 180,000 on it with one rebuild and I can hit at least 90 with 4.56 gears. NP435 4-speed.
I think it's a 65 then. It had a 65 box on it with a 61 hood and 63 front clip.
Drove my 64 daily from 84 thru 97 then overhauled/ painted
Would you post the vin it's on the left door may tag or in glove box and rt frame rail near shock mount on top, maybe a pic or two of your truck like pic
Drive my 63 2wd daily; only issues to check is I recommend replace shocks and have a decent set of tires for ride comfort. Everything else basic maintenance!!
