Sinkhole at the Corvette Museum

Dang that looks scary. They better get the rest of those cars (and people) out of that building NOW. To heck with waiting on the the structural engineers. And they better get a crane in there and get those 8 cars up now if they can. The 1 millionth AND the 1.5 millionth Corvette are in that hole. You can see the plastic sheeting under the concrete and some of the rebar sticking out of what's left in this picture. I honestly wonder how long the ground under that concrete pad has been "missing", and how many people have walked across it in the last few days.

As long as Alfred Pennysworth or anyone else wasn't hurt, no real loss.
I'll bet the security video for the place won't be shown cause three more cars were pushed in for a nice insurance claim.
Leave them there, shore up the walls and charge admission to peer down at them.
I said 'peer'. not a typo.

Here's a bunch of pictures the rescue squad apparently took and posted on the museum's FB page or whatever. The first thing that becomes absolutely painfully obvious is the fact that building is gonna be a total loss. The hole is huge and tracks way back under that floor. The big ugly red column in the center appears to be sitting on its imagination in the middle of that room. And there are dozens of Corvettes still sitting within just a few feet of that hole. Whether you like em or hate em, they're a part of our culture and history. The one millionth Corvette is down in that hole, and not even visible. Apparently 8 cars went in. I can only see three of them. That's sad.
