I have a 1979 F-150 Ranger, has a 400 w/ manual transmission. I just recently rebuilt my Holley 2300 2 barrel and in the removal of the carb I noticed that the throttle assembly was wrong(jerry rigged). How can I get a diagram and parts list so I could replace everything with the correct parts?
YEEEEESSSSSS...that is it! This will be a huge help. I went to an auto parts store earlier today and they couldn't help me find what I need. I was told to search the web and when I found the part to then come back and they'll order them. Now thanks to you I can do that.
Mike, if you don't mind me asking, where could I get all 79 F-150 illustrations? They would definitely come in handy with the restoration process.
I would get either the '79 Shop manuals, they will cover F100-500 models or the Ford parts catalogs, they will cover F100-500 models from '73-'79.
Both are available on CD or you can look for the original paper copies. I see them on E-Bay all the time.
I like the parts catalog over the shop manual because the illustrations are usually exploded and show the little parts that the shop manuals don't.
