I bought a plow for my 05

I'm so sick of snow that I purchased a Meyers poly plow for my 05

Meyer Poly Snow Plow 7.5 Foot Complete Set Up

Iwent and looked at it today and its new well not really but it looks new!

I figure this will be great for the driveway and the 2 rentals I have.

Now that I bought a plow it wont snow anymore, which is fine with me!

Did you have to beef up the front springs for that plow or is it light enough because it's poly?

yeh, Lighter, nice try. They are actually heavier than a steel blade! I have a Meyers 8' commercial poly blade and if I remember right, It is over 300lbs heavier than the equivalent steel blade. Does work nice for my purpose. My driveway is 1/4mi. long and shale/stone. Blade is 7+yrs old and no rust from being scratched up by rocks!

I don't have it mounted yet, but it didn't seem as heavy as an all steel plow. I'll let you know once its mounted if its going to need any upgrades to the front end

Didn't get it completely mounted yet. While under the truck (mind you it only has 58,000 miles) I noticed the left front coil spring is broke at the last coil. So yes I will be doing a front end upgrade

I had a Boss Standard Duty 950lbs on my 2005 150 which has a 6inch Pro Comp suspension lift. Mechanic custom made bump stops to aid in eliminating front end sag. This worked well but we decided to installed the Boss on my new 2014 250. Have a Western Suburbanite on the 150, this is a 350lbs plow. This is a better set up.
