Anyone know of any known problems with exhaust leaking at manifold ? Mine might have one. This happened on a 89 f150 I had. Sounds the same on the 04 f-250. So I'm asking if any one knows. I need help with this. Truck performance Poor and Sounds worse.

 

Do a search on header installs, some of the members have posted similar in the excursion forum.

 

Broken exhaust manifold studs are a common problem on these motors, it sounds like you may have some broken studs, leaks at the head/manifold joint have been reported as causing performance issues by some members.

 

Oh Boy, 2004 72,000 miles and that's what ford excepts from their exhaust system. I get the cat and muffler, but really.. Well I look into this and hope that's its something I can do. Man this Bites.
