F! my 5.4 is making a metal on metal ticking sound (video)
i thought i heard this yesterday when i left work but i was tired and said its in my head, THEN i go to leave right now and sure enough its a real sound
you can hear it very well through the front grill and then if you turn the volume up you can hear a ticking sound ever half a second or so, it also speeds up when i was pulling on the throttle cable. And after the truck fully warms up it goes away.......

In the beginning of the video when I'm in front of the truck with the camera looking at the grill you can clearly hear a metal sounding TICK TICK TICK that's steady ever 1/2 second or so. I know when I open the hood it's harder to hear cuz of the fan pushing air all over but you can still hear that TUCK TICK TICK and when I pull the throttle cable it moves faster with the motor.

I put a brand new OEM belt on this August, and the idler pulley is the small 2" one that sits right above the belt tensioner that doesn't move or anything correct?
And tomorrow I'll take the belt off and fire it up what if the TICK goes away? Do I just put a new idler pulley and maybe a new tensioner on also? How do you figure out if the idler pulley is bad if all it is is a sealed bearing?
