Ya, I still have the chunk of nipple... I thought about just super gluing it back on while I wait for the new one.

Side note, I am liking the FTE muffler/resonator I added because I didn't want the full on Cummins straight pipe sound. It quiets it down just enough that it's not annoying going down the hyway, but you still get the nice diesel truck sound. I also have a pretty decent turbo sound as well since I put a 60mm compressor housing and wheel on the turbo.

Lol, I'll get some up eventually. I don't want to embarrass Bullitt390 too much with how fast this thing starts in 20 degree weather with no cold start aids since I don't even have the grid heater hooked up yet... :P

Yes. Would like to see video of motor in truck running, and video of truck going down road.

How is the power of the Cummins?

To be honest right now the power feels a lot like the power of a stock 6.0 with a lower power band. I've got almost no turbo lag so power/torque is there the instant you apply the go pedal, but there really isn't a point in going much over 3.2k. EGT's are way lower than they were on the 6.0 so I've got quite a bit more room to bump the timing and fuel up on the pump. I'm waiting to turn it up more though until I hook my trailer up and see how it handles it. So far it maxes out at around 27PSI and 930 on the pyro.

I had some time tonight so I made some measurements off the mounting of the stock 6.0 fan shroud and came up with a drawing of my attempt number one for a dual e-fan shroud and got it cut out on my plasma. I still had to knock some slag off of it an do all the bends on it, but it's a start!

Do you cut allot on your plasma table?

Looks to me like you are running it hot and slow.

I mostly run .25-.5" thick on it. It's got a little slop in it so I don't like speeding it up too much on thin stuff or corners and small circles won't turn out well. I cut over 12,000 lbs of steel on it last year for my hobby business.

Ah I see. Thats quite a pile of steel that went threw that table! I have a 4x4 myself and is why I mentioned something. They are very very handy machines!

Really great looking work there.
Are you going to remove material where there isn't a fan, so the air can flow through when driving?
The E fans only move a fraction of the air the belt fan is capable of, but most people shouldn't run into major problems.

If you remove the sections where the fans aren't you loos the point of having the shroud at all.... you need the shroud to seal the area between the fans and the radiator so that the fans pull air through the radiator more evenly. If there is no shroud the fans only pull the section right in front of the fan and the rest of the radiator remains hot. If there is holes in the shroud then the fans will just circulate the air behind the radiator, never actually pulling air though the radiator.

Here are a couple crappy videos I took this weekend. First is starting it up with 40 degree coolant with no start aids (grid heater isn't hooked up yet.) As you can see I'm still fighting that tach sensor...

This is driving unloaded up a long hill by my house.

The last video is pulling onto an on ramp with my enclosed trailer. Picture shows what my total weight was. I gave it a little at the end to show what kind of boost numbers I'm getting. EGT's were still really low, barely broke 1000deg...

Nice. IF only Ford had gone with the Cummins 5.9 and less power and more dependability.

Just thought I'd mention it was 25 degrees out this morning and the truck started fine...wasn't plugged in and grid heater isn't hooked up yet.
