door chimer issues

94 f250, removed and cleaned the multifunction switch which fixed my turn signal issues, now any time the door is opened the Chimer goes off, iirc it only did this before if the lights were on but there not, any ideas/sugestions

Honestly, that is the way my truck has always been. Beyond an earsore when you're working under the dash.

Mine chimes when the doors open and the keys are in it only. But it may be that it's time to remove yours if the noise bothers you.

Just remove the ground attached under the shroud of the steering wheel. The buzz will never happen again.

Check your ignition Switch Mine does it when the Ignition switch is turned to far back and the truck seems to think the key is still in. I just twist it forward some and it stops.

+1. Pull the ignition lock cylinder (takes less than 10 seconds with keys), and disconnect the wire from the key sensor. End of annoyance, and the headlight warning chime will still work as usual.

Or if you never want to hear from it again, just unplug it. Just make sure you dont leave your lights on.
