the foreman worked on mine. step 1 pressure test found a leaking water pump. the recall took him 12 hours plus unknown hours to change the water pump. 4 days total down,to do what I will call a major band aid fix. I feel sorry for the techs as all of you are all going to get the worst end of this mess, there is no way even after doing several to do this in the 5.1 or 6.1 hours being allowed

a note for the techs, the coolant level did drop 2 more times in 2 days after getting it back, a lot of air continues to come out of the new hoses to the bottle almost as if the engine has a cracked head or blown head gasket, and a foamy mix of something like oil and coolant builds up inside the bottle, this seems to go away after several hours of running, the owner will also smell oil burning off hot surfaces for several days then also go away.

then to boot ford lets us know in the ford web site owners.ford.com of yet another recall on these cars and a few others, 14c03 replace seat back frames .

for the man who posted about the scan thing I don't like the new dash programing, it something like it, way to many in your face flashing read outs to distract already distracted drivers busy texting and talking on their cell phones

Get ford to buy ot back. That's what they did did for me on my problematic 07 focus.

2001 to 2004 escapes in 20 states for rusting frames. what's with all the recalls

 

I just talked to the regional ford rep and felt with him. I didn't need to spend any money on lawyers

 

Is this ever going to end....Nobody has died from any of these Escape problems, have they?
