F-600- 14 or 15 inch brakes?
Hello Forum,
Does anyone know of way to determine the brake size on 68 F-600 without pulling wheel and drum? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Post the AXLE code stamped on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch.

Hello Number.
Under 'AXLE' it has "F7". Hope that's what you need.
Thanks a lot

F7 = Eaton model 13802 2 Speed Rear Axle / 5.83/8.17 /
15 ,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.
1968 F600: With a 15,000 capacity, rear brakes could be 15" x 4"
or 15" x 5."
When there is no 3rd digit of the axle code, the 'standard equipment' front axle's weight capacity is
5 ,000 lbs. = 14" x 2 1/2" front brakes.
