I just recently purchased 1987 ford bronco Shell by shell I mean no motor just tranny and transfer case with body and no rust to speak of on the body. I also inherited a 1988 ford F-150 2wd truck after the passing of my grandfather. He purchased the truck in 1988 and has 86,875 original miles. I was trying to just swap motors out but upon further inspection the 1987 Bronco had a 351w HO Carb system. What all I do need to swap out as to make the 351 EFI system work in the Bronco. The 1988 351wEFI starts right up and runs strong but it sits in a 2wd truck. Can it be done and what problems am I going to incur as far as dash gauges, tranny and the transfer case go. I am not at all mechanical and any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Lots of wire harness to change,modify. A rear sump oil pan. Possibly have to change some accessories on front of motor but I'm not sure. It is doable but you say you aren't mechanically inclined. Hope you have a GOOD friend who is

 

this will be very tedious work. having both rigs side by side though should help. you may have to pull wiring and such from an 88 or newer bronco to make this swap a success. nothing later then 91 just and fyi.
