New to the Forum.

Hello Everybody,

I'm new to the forum, but have recently bought back my '69 F-100 SWB w/300 inline 6 and 3 on the tree tranny.

My dad and I are looking to do a "frame off" restoration on it and we plan on putting in a Ford Coyote Motor at some point. I've been lurking and searching the forums but cant seem to find anybody that has completed one of these swaps on our trucks. Have I missed something?

Also, in the meantime we are planning on putting a little bit of money into the I-6 until we are ready for the swap. Any suggestions on immediate upgrades for this motor? I am looking at this package from Jegs: Offenhauser 6019-DPK Offenhauser Dual Port 6-Cylinder Manifold - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS Thoughts?

I know a little about engine performance but I'm not overly familiar with the suspension side of things. I think we want to have an air ride suspension. Anybody on here have suggestions or experience with having done this?

Thanks in Advance and I look forward to sharing this experience with you guys.

Welcome to FTE!
The Crown Vic swap for the front can be bagged. Various means for the rear. I suggest using the search engine top of this page and do some lookin'.
That kit does look juicy but that's a lot of money to spend on something temporary IMHO. FordSix is the Pro on 300's. You might PM him or look through some of his posts. He's built some barn burnin' 6 cylinders. You might end up reconsidering the Coyote swap. Speaking of which, I've seen a couple guys mentioning the Coyote in the past. Ya might use the search engine above for that also.

Thanks Jefffafa,

I've done some looking on the boards the past few days and have seen where people are contemplating the coyote swap, but havent seen anything where someone has actually completed the swap.

I've found some rear kits and posted another thread asking about suspension upgrades. I believe I've found 2 kits I'm interested in for the front: no limit engineering and fatman fabrications.

Welcome to the forum. Don't know that I have any suggestions for you on your specific project but there is much info on the site although sometimes it requires a great deal of digging. Enjoy the time with your dad working on your truck. There are a lot of guys on here that would give anything to have that be part of their build. Enjoy.

I've had that kit it my cart for a while. It was cheaper when I put it in there. Not ready to pop on it.
