Hey Matt,

I took the automatic unit out of my 11 lariat and put it in my 12 XL and it works!!
Reps to follow.

As to the unit and the button for heated mirror, I realize it is all 1 unit.

As to the vents and bezels, I see how to get them out. You say the word, and I'll trade you.

Thumbs up

this looks like a great upgrade, looking forward to seeing what happens with the actuator.

Dual Zone Climate Control Install

I too am waiting for the full scoop on the Actuator install and operation for dual zone. My 2012 XLT would love to have Dual Zone Climate Control.

Anxiously awaiting further INFO.

Just another observation, I have an xlt Trimmed cab, there is no temperature sensor in the section of the dash that would hold it, I think it will be necessary to install this as well as the actuators.

I am listening to you guys, but truck funds are at an all time low. In a couple of months I will post back when more money gets funneled into my mobile command center.

I know this is super old but I'm hoping you can shed some light for me. You have (had?) a 2013 and doing a search on the p/ns you supplied (BC3Z-19980-N) comes up with 2011-2012 parts. Did you know this?? The p/n I find for 2013 is DC3Z-19980-A

In researching for my 2014 I found this p/n: EC3Z-19980-A. It seems to be the correct part by the description and the parts site thumbnail, but I cannot find any actual pictures of it to know if it is. In 2013 they switched to the huge TV screen in the dash for the Lariats and I'm afraid the part I have listed above is a module for that and won't fit my XLT dash (looks like yours).

Lastly, did you ever install the blend door for the full dual zone function?

I am resurrecting this one from the dead as I am finally getting around to updating my 2013 XLT to dual controls. The reason I bring this back up is that cannot find any thread on any site that describes the process end to end and I need a little help.

Through my research for my 2013 XLT I can confirm the following:
Climate Control Module with Dual zone and Heated n Cooled seats- Part #BC3Z-19980-P (I ordered this one off ebay)
Climate Control Module with Dual Zone and NO Heated or Cooled Part #BC3Z-19980-N

I looked at the service diagrams and identified the different parts between manual and dual climate controls. Based on that I have ordered the following parts:
BC3Z-19D888-A a hose the crosses over between driver side to passenger (unsure of it's function at this point)
BC3Z-19C734-B (Version YH-1736) which is the ambient temp sensor and tube that is placed behind the vent grill in the driver knee panel
BC3Z-19E616-A which is the driver blend door actuator

***HELP***
To help me close the loop I have the following questions:
  1. I don't know if the electrical connector is there for the ambient temp sensor or the second blend door actuator for the driver side. Does anyone know or can anyone verify that the connectors are there? The harness part numbers are the same for either system but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the same.
  2. Does anyone know if the actual blend door for the driver side is in the dash box? If I put the driver side actuator in place is there actually a blend door there for it to operate?
  3. Where does the other end of the ambient temp sensor tube connect into the main air box, or does it actually connect into it? The only reference I can find is that it doesn't actually connect into the box but there is a clip on the box that holds the end in place so the opening faces back towards the front seat.
Looking for any help possible to make this work and appreciate any input.

Anyone figured this out yet, this is something I’m interested in doing on the 16 XLT I just picked up.

Okay, I just got a copy of the entire F-250 service manual for 2011-2016 and it included the following image. If you will notice, the 19D888 crossover tube (#4 in the image below) connects to the 19C734 ambient temp sensor and tube on the left side and on the right side (of the crossover tube) it should connect into the airbox assembly. It is my hypothesis, if you do not have the special dual-zone style HVAC box then it will not have the input for the crossover tube...
