I'm very curious also if anyone has tried these, it looks good and not a bad price.

Waiting to see what others say.

Idk if I would use it enough to justify buying it. I only have one diesel truck (so far) and I'm not souping it up all that much. I'm just doing a very mild build, lol. I dont foresee doing very much injector work and buy an expensive tool just to check and adjust pop pressures. I know it's important for them all to be the same, but I can't swing that kind of paper around right now.

As far as it being made in India. Might not be bad, it says on there they have sold a good amount of them and been in the business for over 30 yrs. I mean computers and clothing and what not comes from India, and they always seem to work so well...lol not that I could make anything better though.

I don't have any problems with the India thing, either.

My interest is in doing my own injector rebuilds.

That's one personal quirk I have that I feed with no qualms. I buy tools, even if I'm only going to use it once every few years. I grew up fixing everything with a crescent wrench, pliers, channel locks, and a small metric socket set (in an era before everything was metric, it was left over from when my dad had a VW.) I've smashed my fingers so many times with those damn channel locks and rounded every nut and bolt on my bikes that I longed for proper tools. We did not have a single power tool, wood was cut with a hand saw, (decades later my dad still has it, lol, it is duller than an Obama voter), holes were drilled with a nail and hammer.

Anyway, the bad memories have me rambling. Now I buy tools with reckless abandonment, some of them are cheap granted, but they are the proper tool for the job! Now even dad has a cordless drill, but he does still have and use his dot-matrix printer.

That being said, it'll be a while before I can spend any kind of money on this pop-tester, but I am interested and would like to toy around with some injectors some day.

I got to wondering where one could get the injector shims, a search on Fee-Bay shows me the same seller has a shim kit:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Diesel-Injector-Pressure-Shims-Nozzle-Pressure-Shim-Kit-4-Sizes-Qty-15-each-/320957490610?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aba8ea5b2&vxp=mtr
Of course since it's four different sizes that means you'd end up with a lot of shims you couldn't use on our IDIs so if someone has a source for just our injectors let us know!

I have one of those pop testers and for the price you cant beat it. Mine leaks a little and the gauge jumps around a little which makes it a little hard to read but not to bad I'm satisfied with it.

Thanks. Did it come with the right adapter to fit the IDI? Is there a chart, or something, which shows which adapter goes with which injector? I will need to test injectors from an IDI and the 6BT Cummins.

I found a guy who owns the tester. He likes it and uses it, without additional adapters, with injectors from a B-series Cummins. His description of the adapters makes me think it is likely one would be OK expecting to use it with the IDI injectors.

Here he is:

Well I bit the bullet and bought one, see how it is when it gets here.
The only thing I see that is an issue is the gauge isn't liquid filled so it will bounce a lot and the scale is way too high for what we need, but I have a gauge that is better suited that ill try.
