Straight Piping?

My pickup is louder now with Hooker Headers, 3" pipe and Flowmaster two chambers than it was with stock manifolds and 2.5" straight pipes. I ended up running the exhaust out the back because it was too loud in the cab with side exit exhaust.

Yeah I'm looking to do the same thing. I have headers with flowmaster mufflers and they exit the side of the bed. It's too damn loud, plan is to run them out the rear of the bumper soon.

I think the style tip plays alot into the final sound.. I had a friend that had a straight piped 460 with 3" miter tips.. he couldn't stand it after a month or so and it got glass packs lol..its really you're preference and how thick you're neighborhood is
