I know quite a few guys who do. I run 10W30 with a bit of Lucas oil stabilizer. Mine doesn't burn any, but if it did, I'd likely make the switch.

I know many members do. What oil are you using now ItsAFord55?

How much oil are you burning?

I'm running straight 30 now, and I'm burning probably maybe a quart or 2 between oil changes.

Going to 15-40 should be fine then. I've run 10w-40 in the two 351's I've owned and both went past 200k miles without a problem. Never got to burning any oil, just started getting rear main seal leaks after about 180k.

If you live where it's warm enough that you can run straight 30 without having to worry about cold start issues, 15-40 wont give you any problems.

If its not too cold where you are 15-40 will be fine.

I used to run 20-50 in a 300 because it was leaking a quart a day. It ran fine, but cold(winter cold) starts were a pain.
