I know the front bumpers are different, there's the bracket from the frame to the bumper on the 87+, none for 80-86. But the actual shape of the frame ends in the front, are they the same for both model years? I am cutting the ends off of an old front bumper from my 84 that's damaged on one end, for a tow bumper, was wondering if it would fit my 87 as well. Thanks

I believe so yes, I haven't tried moving bumpers but I've moved plow frames from 90 onto an 82 that slips over the front frame horns & fit the same on both so I believe those front horns are the same dimensions.

yes the horns are the same from 80-91. the 80-86 bumper mounts on the front of the horns, the 87-91 bumper has brackets that mount to the outside of the horns but horns are identical

 

Great, thanks guys, I thought so but wasn't 100% sure. The '87 isn't with me, it's at a local dealer tech's house and he hasn't been able to get to it in almost a year, so I'll probably just have to tow it home and work on it myself.
