Anti-Virus Tools

Be careful not to have more than 1 or 2 or they will be working in the background against each other; primarily the Firewalls.

Go to FileHippo.com - Download Free Software and download C Cleaner which is a very good tool to clean things up. It is NOT an Anti-Virus Tool just a cleanup tool.

There are several security tools available and most seem to use AVG Free Version which is a good tool but whatever suits you best is the one that you want. I use McAfee Total Protection 2014 as it is from Intel and is always working in the background.

Good Hunting!

Take care.

I've been getting a popup lately when viewing this website on my phone saying my phone might be infected. It turns out to be one of the ads that appear along the left side of the page. I don't think its anything to worry about, but still now a reassuring feeling.

OK. Everything has been fine ever since we talked about this last time until now. It only happens in this forum and it is an ad for H.R. Block! When the add tries to come up everything locks up tight. Its title is www.webmedia.hrblock.com. Can a moderator investigate them and see if they are "phishing" and either my popup blocker or my do not track or my antivirus is declaring war an them? I can keep reloading the page until that ad doesn't try to load and then everything works fine. Just wondering.

i will pass it up the line, but first thing you should do is clear your cookies. i bet you got a cookie somewhere, and something here triggers it.

i did a quick look and can not find anything in the loading headers.

the boss said he put a block on hrblock, so you should no longer get the lockup.

i would still clean up your cookies in your computer and run a malware scan to make sure nothing is hidden .

I did the cookie clean-up and it made no difference, plus I have all cookies blocked. The funny thing is, soon as I cried about it, it never happened again! Go figure! Everything is working good today.

Thanks for passing it up.
