flat head ford v-8

I have a chance to purchase a dissembled motor. The block has been cleaned and is in good shape it has been sitting but has been coated so as not to rust , pistons new in box .125 over and just various parts. Until I can turn the block over and look at the deck and valve area I don't know. Any way I don't have much of a clue as to offer the man. Everything is supposed to be in the crate. What is a good block with all machine work done worth besides what someone will pay. Thanks for the help.

Get a price for the new parts, and the machine work, and all other parts needed, make sure the block is ok, then find out what he wants and go from there.

I know that parts are expensive for the motor. I have seen pistons for 600 down to 300 is there that much difference in quality this was in the speedway book.
