Building a truck named 'Webster'

So I am taking 2 different trucks and combining them into 1 good one. The pics below are the build truck. It's a 97 350 with a 7.3 diesel. It has 362k unloved miles with a blown tranny. The donor truck is a 95 DRW mason dump with 135k, a decent tranny ( but takes 3 seconds to shift into Reverse) the other problem is that I found a hole in the passenger cyl head above the exhaust manifold.
I'm hoping between the 2 trucks, I can make a good running flatbed dump plow truck. In the process of trying to get the build truck, or 'Webster' started today, just to get it to the shop, we ran into 2 small roadblocks. The first was a melted GPR. The hot lead had melted right off the solenoid. Oh well, no big deal, saves me jumpering the solenoid! In the process of cranking it, I started getting a strong gasoline smell out of the fuel bowl. Turns out someone had filled the tanks with gasoline. Fortunately we caught it before it ran, but we won't know if it was run with gas before it was parked a year ago, or whether someone dumped it in after it was parked due to the blown tranny. Compression test tomorrow! Fortunately we were only 1/4 mile from my shop so we just rolled it/pulled it with a chain down there. More pics to follow tomorrow!

be sure you measure the frame width on the dump. if it was a cab and chassis the rear frame will be narrower.

Well, not a lot of visible progress today, but got the compression test done, with good results! At first, we kept getting 0. After thinking about it, we realized that truck had been sitting for 9 months. We dumped a little oil down each GP hole and presto! Results. Lowest was around 350, highest was 380ish. Good enough for me. I'll leave that engine in but replace every o ring I can find. We also got the fuel tanks drained out. There was probably 2 qts left in the bottom of each tank, but I figure I'll fill both tanks and put a few ounces of 2 stroke oil in each tank and that should dilute any gas that's left. Included below are a few pics for your viewing pleasure. First up is the melted GPR I mentioned yesterday.

Here's the GP's that were in there. Fortunately they were Motorcraft, as I have personally experienced bad autolites 2 [IMG]

And, another with a VC off. Man, that passenger side one is a bear to snake out compared to my Super Duty's! The AC evaporater or whatever that thing on the firewall is, really gets in the way!

Now I need to decide between 3 options-
1.) run the truck with the injectors and o rings that were originally in it.
2.) swap injectors with ones out of donor truck with 135k with new o rings
3.) put o rings on ones currently in there with 360k miles

I'm good either way, but right now I'm leaning towards just leaving them be until truck is running and then getting AE in it to see how they look. Any thoughts on that are appreciated. Just don't want to waste a new set of injector O rings.
One other question too... On the Super Duty's, alit of guys do the hutch/harpoon mod. I personally haven't done it to my trucks yet, but the beds off this one now. Is that a mod that needs to be done on the OBS trucks? Thanks for the answers!
