Painting a white truck BLACK

Has anyone here painted a white truck- black?
I have an 08 Superduty CC and hate the white. What do you think it should cost to paint it?

Like any other color, it can be done very effectively! Typically figure a paint job starts at $3-4k plus bodywork. Like any color change, a sealer has to be used and IMHO, I always mix a little of the paint color into the primer...to really help cover the best.

The quality of paint jobs really very...you get what you pay for. A good job will be quite expensive, but probablly cost less than buying a different truck.

A very nice shop by me would cost about $10K for a full paint job...but it would be show quality. I've seen several of the vehicles he's done and the paint finish is mirror smooth.

Remember that black will show imperfectioins very easily.

Good luck

I have a 08 that is black and I hate it. I would kill for a white truck. Every scratch shows up and I won't even start on dirt and water spots

Another idea I have is to just make it a dual color so you don't have the expense of a full repaint. That is if you can stand still having some white.

Ok...two tone isn't an option...maybe look at some black trucks that are for sale and figure out if you can sell yours and get one of those for the same cost as painting what you have.

Remember that when you change colors you need to paint everything, like the door jabs, underhood, wheel wells, and pull the bed to get between the cab and bed.

Good luck
