Smile New from southern Oregon

Hey fellow oregon members! New guy here from Grants Pass. Name's Sam. Most of the forums I'm on don't have anyone from my area, nice to see some on the member map

I've got a '79 F150 Lariat(thread in project section) and a 77 F250 parts truck. I was looking for an 80's f series like my aunts F250 Lariat (both trucks were bought by my grandpa in the 80's/90's, he had good taste!)

I clicked join chapter and submitted info but I'm not sure how to tell if I am now lol.

Just thought I'd introduce myself to the chapter!

80's F-series are plentiful and cheap here for the most part.......especially F250 4x4's

Thanks guys!

iggybob, I'm in the jerome prairie area. About 8 miles out 199 from GP. Been in the area my whole life so far.
Cheapest f250 I've seen on craigslist around here was an 85 6.9 diesel with low compression issues for $700. Found an 82 extra cab, lifted, 4x4 up in bandon's craigslist for $800 but it had rust. There is a 78 4x4 460 on craigslist right now for 900obo that I wish I could get.

I almost bought that 78! It must have literally been in your backyard, it was just down the street from the Jerome Prairie Market! It was pretty decent, but i bought a 73 2wd instead. I havent owned a Lowboy yet. I sure love this area, and dont worry.....I have no interest in turning this state into another California!

Small world! LOL I live on the other side of the highway. All my driving around in the area I never saw it. Few pre-77's out in the open I've seen though. One a sweet 4x4 crew cab but it disappeared just last week.
Highboy is on my list of future wants.

Glad this area isn't like california!
