I'm already on it. Working on the drivers door and the hood.

I'm working on the hood again.. I just don't think I can do the fenders correctly. I'm moving on to the other door. I hope to maybe have the cab fenders and hood ready for paint next month. I'm going stock paint look. It's easy to paint and hide the imperfections better.

I've enjoyed reading your thread. Your truck is coming along great. I know time flys. It has taken me over a year to do the power brakes and disk conversion on my 57.
nice to see you back.

You're an inspiration to all mcali2! Not sure what it takes for each individual to keep on with these long projects but for me it's includes the vision I have that keeps me determined to finish. Great Job!

I just pulled my fenders and grille today...it was around 13 bolts just for the grille..lol. and of course all were rusted and a lot broke.

#5. Yes, they came with turn signals; the mechanism should be inside the ..... directly below the steering wheel. By the way, your wheel looks to be a 1960.

Great project truck.

I know this is a bit old, but I am just starting a build with my grandpa's 59 F100 as well. Could you point me towards the Jaguar IFS info?

My best recollection is that I got most of my Jag info off the H.A.M.B. (or Jalopy Journal). But doing a search on here or Google may generate some good info. My Jag IFS is still setting on the floor next to my '57 F-100.

Do you have one? How was the gearing? did you use the trans from the 400?

Yeah, I pulled mine out of an 80 F350. Last year Ford made the 400 IIRC. I mated it to a C6 & shortened the intermediate shaft to the T-case to fit. Motor is a LOT stronger with T Meyer flat top pistons and a cam. Gearing really limits speed at 4.56, but on the plus side, I can burn the 35" tires through 2nd gear ! I'm currently thinking about going to a ZF 5 or E4OD.

I have been restoring other trucks for my kids. 3 years of kids turning 16 to drive. The original owner of the 59 f100 contacted me this week. He wants the 59 back and is flying out to NV next month. He will be coming by and discussing the changes needed to move forward. I will still be doing the work on the truck. He wants the original seats back in. I will need to find one. undo the lowering parts. Any one one have stock rear springs?

Well, at least you'll make a little money on it; plus it's always nice to see an old vehicle go to someone else who appreciates it. Then on to the next project!

I have found a bunch of old ford's I think 1961 to 1965 4x4 in the middle of no place NV. Just out there collecting dust. I will be going out again to see if I can figure out who owns the land. Everyone of them could be stollen . I will get photos of it.
