How to test vacuum advance

Can anyone tell me how to test the vacuum advance on a 292 with the std. distributor.

Well....using a vacume pump or anything that will suck, using the vacume line for the advance, you should be able to suck on it and see the level inside (cap removed) move....if it doesn't, its bad.

vacuum pump and a timing lite , check while running you will see the timing mark change when using the vacuum pump

Is it a '54-'56 load-o-matic (only vacuum) or a '57-'64 vacuum and mechanical distributor? What exactly do you need to determine?
