That is just beautiful! I wasn't aware that Ford ever used that color on an engine, but the two greens do look sharp. Keep up the great work and keep those pictures coming!

If I may get back to the exhaust (can you say obsession?). M-H's R32-4 manual lists a part number for their modified 215 upper exhaust pipe, but no picture or diagram was included . Our M-H guys know that I've kept an archive of all 3/4 ton M-H trucks I've come across. That's a few dozen tops. I know of three '52/'53s that left the factory with a 215. Dana Jones', Mark's (thundersnow70), and mine. Mark's truck had a flathead V8 swapped in long ago, so subtract one. I wish I'd have taken more pictures of this below truck when I visited Dana last June. Stu

Stu, you have to go for a frame ride on that when the drive train is fully assembled!

You'll see some trucks that have the front shaft and differential on the right side. Those are the 1/2 and 3/4 ton single speed transfer case models (LD7-4 and R3-4). The R32-4 (V8) and 6R32-4 (226/215) had two speed transfer cases like the big trucks and left hand diff/drive shaft. Stu

Spring's coming. Once the exhaust is sorted, and I finish rebuilding the steering column, I'll be looking to take a driveway ride. We've had it running and it sounds sweet. Stu

Stu, excellent work and greatly detailed descriptions.

What I find funny is that you showed this pic to me to indicate where the brake pedal return spring is hooked on your truck.... and I never noticed that drive shaft until now!

You are doing an excellent job with this truck, and I'm sure you know that. But I just wanted to add my admiration to the great work you're doing. And I'm glad we get to see your build thread.
