Hey folks,

Im looking for a nice camp ground in Ocean City MD near the beach/board walk. I posted in the MD chapter and 6.0 forum as well. Looking to get as many of you to chime in as possible.

My wife found Cast Aways and was wondering if anyone has stayed there. Forntierland is booked up for the week we want to head down so that's out. Are there any other options for us with a 38' 5er?

I have only ever stayed at frontiertown, which was always good. I have a few good buddies who have switched over to Castaways and go back year after year. They say it's a bit less kid oriented than Frontiertown. I haven't been there yet, but I'm going to try Castaways the next time around. There is always camping out on Assateague island, but it's a ride to downtown OC, and the amenitites are minimal to none, and depending on time of year the mosquitos will eat you alive. If I recall right, Frontiertown has a partner campground, Fort Whaley I think it was, it's further from downtown, but may be available.

 

Thanks for the feed back. I think we are going to go with Castaways as we don't have kids...yet. I would love to stay on the island but my wifes idea of roughing it is a black and white TV.
