Howdy guys! Im new to this forum so you'll just have to bear with me! Haha I wanted to get a good 70's 3/4 ton or ton for a while, but where could a 15 year old find a good one that wasn't rusted out,or they didn't want a gold mine for it? I looked on Craigslist for probably 6-7 months looking for one that met my standards. Well,I finally found one. Me and Dad went down and looked it over and drove it and didn't hesitate a bit to give him what he wanted. Hey, Cant beat 900$! I came to a conclusion real quick that I had to keep my 4 cylinder Mustang if I wanted to drive to school full time.No way a kid could drive 28 miles a day 5 days a week in a ton truck with 4:10's Haha She's a 1979 F-250 Ranger Ton Truck. Dana 60's front and rear. She's got a 400 with the c6(Hopefully converting to a 4speed this spring) The only rust spots on the whole truck are over the rear fenders. Im trying to find a set of 1992-1997 F-250,F-350 Alcoa wheels to put on her along with some 33's. Don't worry guys,Im gonna try and paint her all brown and tan this spring Along with some 2" steel blocks to put under the leafs to level her out. If I do the Cummins swap,Im gonna put a simple 12valve VE pump mated to a zf5 trans, nothing special, all Lords will.
Well here she is!
Sorry Guys,I didn't know how to make the pictures smaller.. If anyone could tell how that'd be nice.Haha Thanks for looking guys! God Bless!
Before you get yer hopes high and running afoul of the local law dogs, ya might wanna rethink the plan for leveling 'er out cuz TN prohibits the use of front lift blocks.
