A big thanx to our chapter brother Thomas for doing me a big solid by helping me play musical refrigerators last evening. Terri was EXTREMELY thankful as well since she would have been tasked with helping me if Thomas hadn't stepped up for the assist.

I'm enjoying the balmy high 30's this AM. Hope Stacy is thawing out.

Still clobbering away on my 76 F100. Got the heat working again, picked up some nice heater control cables from bamaf150 and got to shoot the breeze a little bit.

Going to buy a bucket of carb dip tomorrow, and my third carb rebuild kit. Something keeps trashing the accelerator pump (probably either ethanol or trash in the fuel) and requires me to replace them every so often. It also appears that the venturi is completely plugged on one side so that explains why I'm getting very little power from it.

Hopefully the carb dip will have it working how it should again. I'm getting sick of carb issues with this thing.

Didn't know I could hold my breath that long. 26 seconds felt like a lifetime but it all worked out... Go Seahawks!

Desperado, carb dip always worked wonders for me, compressed air helps too.

You might want to make an accurate examination of what is plugging up your venturi.

To me it looks like the venturi are being clogged with some kind of white-ish grey stuff or what looks like sintered metal. The bowl of the carb looks a little dirty and rust colored but there are no solid flakes of rust or trash in the carb at all.

So i'm kind of stuck until I can figure out exactly what is going on here. This weekend will have me dropping the fuel tank and seeing what is in there and checking over the fuel system as best I can.

Just an FYI, there are 3 filters in my fuel system. The one built into the pump, one after the pump, and one at the carb. I should have filtration well taken care of and shouldn't be having these issues but i still am for some reason.
