Good morning Orego FTE gang and friends.
Morning Don, Pat, Dave, Jim and welcome aboard Jonathan.
It rained hard all night down here in Rockaway. Standing water and inch deep across the entire property. Not fun at all. Thankfully I got all of my chores done yesterday. All I'm going to do is relax and whatever my wife tells me to do. Holler at some kids, the dogs and then this afternoon kill some brain cells with several adult beverages.
Have a good one gang.

This to go to a five-lug Ford pattern instead of the current eight?
Sorta' making an F150 out of it with heavy rear springs?
That will end up being a unique truck with the Gear Vendors, too!

On sunday I will be running back from Medford with an empty 26ft enclosed trailer heading back north. And on April 5th or 6th I will be coming back from medford with an empty 19ft car trailer. Just an FYI if any on has Craigslist finds they need shuttled or what ever.

Jim, I really wanted to get in touch with you but due to the last minuet change in plans and me being in a hurry to get down to our place so that I could eat dinner with my wife I figured I just didn't have the time.

That's O.K. Just giving you a hard time. Most likely I wasn't home anyway.
Since I've been retired, it seems I have more need for a scheduling secretary than I ever did when I was still working!

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Wow, pretty quiet in here. It was either a killer week, or there is a heck of a party someplace!

[quote=Seabiscuit-P3;14207897]Not sure what the deal is with the .357 Sig. It is popular enough (or politically correct enough) that it is one of 3 pistol calibers the police academy supplies the ammo for. The other two being 9mm and 45 ACP.
What, no .40 S&W?
A guy I know who is a big fan of 10mm, say the "S" and "W" in .40cal stand for "short and weak"...........A emasculated barstard offspring of the mighty 10mm.
Good morning Jonathon. Congrats on exhibiting the common sense to get out of Medford![/quote

Oops. Left the 40 out, silly, silly me. It is one of the most popular calibers at the Police Range.
10mm was too much gun for the accountants and desk pukes to handle so the FB1's thought they should tame it down some. Plus, there was a lot of breakage on the early "issue" S&W 10mm's. I was involved in some "local" testing as well as several days worth of T&E at Camp Withycomb with just about all of the major manufactures, when we were deciding which semi-auto's Roseburg PD would convert to. The feebies stuck with the 10 for a bit, but they switched to, I believe, sub sonic 180 grn rounds which were nothing more than an over sized 40 cal anyway.

I will just plod along with my 9mm..........tried, true, proven, not the biggest, not the sexiest, not the "new wonder caliber"..........just goes BANG! every time without fail, and gets the job done.

I am a conflicted child. I have my 9, I have my 45's, I have my..........................but here recently, the 9 is what I've been carrying almost exclusively.

My Beretta 92 and SIG226 9s are too big to carry concealed...............So I rely on Carl Walthers PPKs in .380acp...........Thin, smooth and sexy, and, every time you pull it out, you want to say, "Bond...........James Bond."

Speaking of which, mine has a broken firing pin, I need to remember to take it with me when I go to town and drop it off at the gun smith. My pocket Beretta is in the same shape. I haven't got the foggiest idea how or why. One minute they are going bang and the next second they went click. I probably gave them a heart attack by shooting factory ammo out of them.

Wet wet wet. And only 2 more days off before classes start again.
Good news, I made the Honor Roll at OSU for the 6th term in a row (not counting the terms I got honor roll at LBCC before that).
