Have you talked to Ford customer service or tried another dealer yet?
Somebody is screwing the pooch here...
Not yet, was giving then a chance to fix their screw up. Plus the other local dealer i have had even worse experiences with and when inquired how long it would be before they could look at it they were less than thrilled to be cleaning up someone else mess so i didn't want them to half *** it, again.
It's actually back at the dealer again now because when my buddy was bringing it back it started grinding again so he recorded it and went to chew the service manager a new one. It's probably was a waste of another 100 miles of gas im sure as they likely won't be able to reproduce it and I'll have to deal with it until the 4wd goes out again. It's embarrassing to drive, sounds like your dragging a bunch of shopping carts. Hope the dealer is proud to have their sticker on the back of it LOL.
I know what's wrong with it, its the $12 check valve on the firewall. But im not going to fix it because i don't want a mangled IWE/Hub in my truck with 7k miles. They assumed that the IWE failed and just replaced it without looking into why it failed. So here i am again.
Sadly Mike it will probably come to that. I love the truck, but i need something reliable. Our local dealer suck to put it nicely. My buddy works in finance and helped me get a deal, but they need some service to back it up.
i've had a '16 ram for a loaner, it's not terrible but they payload is a joke.
