Andrew $8.99 plus free shipping sounds like a steal or maybe it was supposed to be $89.99 and someone messed up. If not.. then you're probably going to get like a fluorescent light bulb in a box haha
I think what it is, is that working on lower volume luxury cars, is that you need to figure things out on your own. Google university can't tell you how to fix it......

since we didn't end up taking my truck out west i never did get the LED bar from rich installed on mine. i need to fab some brackets, and i'm going to modify the reflector a little bit as well first.

i'm the only one in my househould who has the day off tomorrow, so i think it's going to be a (long overdue) spa day for the truck. this misfire is still getting worse, so time to see if i can really figure it out.

Have you played with the AE software yet to see if anything shows there?

i did right away when i got it from you, but didn't get much results since i forgot you need to plug the Ford dongle in. didn't remember that part until recently.

the plugs were replaced when i bought it, and i've played the swap COP game and chase the code. misfire is on cylinder 8. my guess is either a faulty spark plug or something with the fuel injector.

i never did get to the truck this weekend. Christmas stuff took precedence.

Which plugs do you have? If its that crappy 2 piece it wouldn't be the first time i was told the plugs were changed, but what they meant was a plug was changed.

they are the ones that used to be a two-piece design, but as far as brand i wish i knew; when i made the deal on this truck i just told them i wanted them all changed, but unfortunately i hadn't done quite enough research to know to tell them to use Motorcraft.

Did you personally confirm plug replacement? I can very easily see a used vehicle lot not fixing something that ain't broke, particularly something with headache potential.

It's just the last 2 5.4 3 valve engines I've had to work on have both been told the plugs were done, but by the time i get to the point of eliminating everything else, i found that only the plugs causing problems were replaced.
