Nice Torr should have given me a call I was home all weekend.

I need to get back to my 7.3L, I need to track down my idle issue, I think the injectors are next on my list for that.

i ponied up the extra money to get the replacement pump with a pulley already on it so i didn't have to d1ck with removing it, but the pulley has to come off to even access the high pressure fitting to remove it, and there's hardly any room in there between the radiator fan in front of and the frame next to it so i'm not sure how a puller is gonna fit.

also read a forum writeup where someone got the a/c pulley off without a puller, so i attempted that job without a puller... unsuccessfully.

0 for 2 last night!! so had to drive the mom-mobile fiat today.

If you don't need to re-use the pulley, just cut the spokes with a cut off wheel.

i will have to have the puller anyways to put the new pulley on the new pump after i connect the hi pressure fitting anyways, but if the old one tries to fight me coming off it may come to that.

Did you know if you go into a forum looking for help on something and jokingly insult the thing you need help on... Everyone becomes highly defensive and tries to insult you instead. Maybe it's the environment I'm in now...

But anyway! That sucks about the pulley. Had the same problem with my fan being in the way for my power steering pump. Just start removing parts to make room. UNLESS you have to drain fluids.. those parts stay.

well, said whine evolved into a big nasty superchager'ish whine by sunday morning, evolving further into a grinding/chattering/marbles-in-crankcase sound by the time we got home sunday evening. i get it off and both rubber sides of the bearing were gone, and there were about 6 ***** left in it.

fortunately my new bearings had come in the mail during the day sunday, so swapped them out. unfortunately i think it took out something in the actual tensioner assembly, because it's still pretty noisy. so new tensioner is going on tonight.

boat wouldn't start on the ramp yesterday either.

it never ends.

If it makes you feel better brandon, my well pump quite again Saturday. The guys who installed the new pump last September got right out today. It's fixed, but don't know what was done yet or if I'm getting a bill.
