Finally got somewhere with my wondering Ex!!
I've been chasing this for a while, had it at several different mechanics. Replaced springs, tires, and a gearbox. The mechanic that put the gearbox on told me that he thought it was an alignment problem, and the alignment was way off when I bought it, so I took it in for an alignment and then again later when it didn't fix the problem.
They were getting tired of talking to me when they gave me to another mechanic who checked the ball joints. They were pretty bad. I had been told by two mechanics now that the ball joints were good.
I never would have thought that I'd be happy to hear that I need ball joints, but I am ready to be done with this silliness. I was going to skip out on a visit to see the wife's family over the weekend, but this is the only vehicle that fits all the kids in and the wife hates driving it because of the wandering steering. I went only because she didn't want to drive 4 hours in this thing!!
I wonder if ball joint problems after 60k miles is a new record!

I've seen some that needed done at 30k before...but that was a plow truck on rough roads
hope the ball joints fix your problem. I know how annoying wandering steering can be. My spring upgrades fixed mine enough that I can drive with 2 fingers...but at 82k on the clock, I can feel the steering loosening up again. So it's probably getting to be balljoint time for me as well. darn it!

I can't remember, have you done any spring upgrades? One of the best things I think I've done was putting the AAL in the front spring pack. It gave me 0.5 to 1" of lift...but more importantly, it firmed up those weak craptastic OEM front springs. That killed 90% of my wander right then/there. Also solved my bottoming out issue 100%.
Something to consider if you haven't already done the swap/mod to leafs. but I'm betting the ball joints will be immensely helpful

It had the RAS on it when I bought it but I swapped on some stock F350 springs. I haven't put the RAS back on yet though. I don't feel the axle wrap, it always felt more like an alignment problem. That's why I never bothered. I also put on some very mild street tires (Firestone Destination HT).
