Not sure, I haven't got one yet. It just occurred to me now that the '66 I got the picture of in the scrap yard the other day likely has one in it still. I'll check it out next time I'm over there and see what happens.

This weekend I unexpectedly bought another truck. And it just so happens to be another Flareside! A twin to what my '85 was originally. This one is an '86 with a 5.0L fuelie and an AOD. Solid body and box! Driver's floor needs a pan but short of that it runs and drives great. I got it for $468.95 (I traded the roll bar for a case of beer and found 50 cents under the seat)

Cool! Glad you got rid of the roll bar though, as it is hideous. But I like the truck.

The roll bar isn't really my thing, be kinda cool in a way if it were 4x4. Kinda retro. Still, didn't plan on keeping that haha.

Thanks. These trucks are really rare in any condition around here, especially Flaresides. I'd imagine we get the same winters are you do in Michigan - I feel your pain!

Ouch, she could use some love. And a lot of steel For some reason I thought you were in Michigan, not sure why. I think I might just try shopping for a southern cab. Fixing floorpans gets old fast.

I know what you mean, I've decided to give up, and just buy a southern tub for my bronco. It's just more cost effective to buy a new one then waste time and money chasing rust.

I wish I could have done that, but getting one across the border would cost as much as a whole truck here likely. It's not really that big of a job I found, we did mine with an engine hoist. It's just awkward

Eventually this one will have a built 460 and a C6. As low and wild as I can get it and still drive on the street. Basically just a street legal drag truck.

And here I thought you bought it for a good gas mileage driver. lol
That is going to be pretty wicked with that setup. Maybe lower front with a crown vic clip swap?

I've been looking into that as well. I'm thinking that or Mustang II up front and coil overs of some sort in the back with a narrowed 9".

Couldn't ask for a better reach. I think it looks pretty wild too
Where did you get that Hurst shifter handle?

I ordered it through our store but you can get them anywhere that sells Hurst shifter sticks. It's designed for a '55-'57 Chevy shoebox but it fit mine perfect. Hurst part number 5388620
