Im not hatin by any means... i think its a badass idea, but i dont think the idi forum is "the place" for it.. if you follow me. No different than if someone came in here asking advice/opinions to yank the idi and put in a: gasser, cummins, detroit, cat or anything but an idi for that matter. Now if he was pulling any of the above OUT for an IDI well sure i understand, but thats not the case.
We have a DT 360 / allison in an IH pumper truck... shes a little slow, id put it right on pace with our 6.9 IH truck. I think however the turbo is shot on the pumper, thing squals something feirce under load.

here in joisey school buses are only good for 15 years.
and most are dumped after 10 years.
the easiest way to mount it would to get the front 2 cross-members out a f600+. then fab them to mount up and delete the one thats there already, you would need a d60 or d44 to do so. dodges have 1550 joint hub that can be found and 1550/1610 ******* joints can be bought. so if the allison gots a hub look for a 1610 hub if it don't got that size, it could have a 1810 on it. one that comes with a e-brake will have a flange an will make it easier to have a jackshaft made
