2014 SD w/6.2L..reviews??

does anyone know if a tuner will turn off the traction control. i know they doon my mustang there a pain. also my truck didnt pick up mileage till after 5k miles.the mileage is also down now to it sitting and idleing to warm up in winter and the winterblend gas drags down mileage. i was at 13.4 mpg last summer, trucks down to 12.9 to 13 mpg now . im assumiong it will go back to 13.4 this spring. truck has 10k on it now.

After all the trouble I dealt with on our company 6.0/6.4's. Also from a friends hot shot trucks...he runs 35 different 6.7 Ford and Dodge 1 ton diesels and has had a lot of issues with both. He is even going to gassers now for the new replacement trucks.

Omg what I going on with your rig? 6mpg does not sound anywhere close to right with a 7k trailer unless you drive everywhere with your foot to the floor??????
I have not towed my new 28' trailer but my old one with my car and tools was probable close to 6k and my truck would do 12.5 on the hwy
My truck has 15k miles now and I average roughly 13mpg city driving. On the hwy at 65mph it will do 15-16 and sometimes bump 17 if its flat this is empty of course.
I am not at all worried about longevity with this engine. The 6.2 has already proven to be good past 100k miles with little to no problems.
With my new trailer I hope to get at least 10mpg ..... The trailer should come in close to 9k loaded. But then again it's only 100 mile trips to the race track so it's not that big of a deal if it doesn't.
I am curious to what my city driving mpg goes to with the 2.5" lift and 35's I plan to put on.

They also don't take into consideration the extra financing . In Canada the 6.7 is an extra $10,000.00 which adds another $1,300.00 HST plus an additional ~ $3,000.00 in financing costs ,if taken out over 5 yrs @ 5.5%(correct me if I am wrong) which amounts a $14,000.00 premium over a 6.2 ltr. I could buy a whole nuther car for that..

That would be scary!! I had to modify the gas pedal myself cause the truck didn't come with adjustable pedals.

good luck, I just got the 14SD F250 with the 6.2L.. Like u I couldn't justify the diesel/cost/expense/fuel..etc.,,I like this 6.2L so far..(bit noisy) but it is a step up from my 5.4 I had in my 2002 SD..

My new 6.2 should be here in about a week. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about going gas. However, driving home from work today with the temp about 10 degrees the temp gauge never approached normal. I realize a gasser will be about the same but it's not quite as worrisome as a diesel. I don't tow enough or drive far enough for an oil burner.

22rimfire, i too miss those days when we had common sense in stead of non-sense! One day ownership and first problem arises. The rear camera backup sensor goes on whenever you go into reverse. Back to dealer today. I read that there is a reset that needs to be done after replacing the sensor. Simply disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Let's see what tomorrow brings! Keep the faith.
