Is it classic is it worth it
I am looking at 1969 Ford F100. Is this a classic? It has a solid body some rust but not thrashed. Frame good has 360 v8. Is that the original motor. It needs wheel cylinders put on (already) bought needs some carburetor work one seal leaks. I can get it for $750 cash. Would it be worth it?
I just like to fix it up and drive truck shows

That is pretty cheap. You need to take a close look at the cab mounts to see if they are rusted out. Also check the floor pans. If not and the other rust is not that bad I would say it is a good deal. You can keep these trucks going for a long time, but you should expect to run into some challenges while working on it. Lost of parts have been together a long time and will not want to come apart. You can use the vin number to find out what size engine it had in it when new. A 360 was used in many of these trucks.

Is it a classic? To some yes, to some no.
Those that say no are merely lemmings who think it's just an old truck that is as aerodynamic as an aircraft carrier, wastes gasoline, is loud and noisy, has no air bags or anti-lock brakes, is environmentally irresponsible with no cats or oxygen sensor, rides like a bucking bronco, and whose bench seat feels like an upholstered park bench.
Ahhhh the good ol' days....

Maybe
I don't think it is a classic. there were about 4 million 67-72 ford trucks built. However, I think it is the best looking body style ever produced. They are easy to work on, parts are plentiful, and the mods are endless. 2wd body parts are direct bolt on. The frame and drive train are worth $500-$750 if the frame is not tweaked or rusted out. Your cab most likely needs floorboards, look under the carpet where the kick panels and floorboard meet. Cobbled wiring is always an issue but easily fixed. The bottom of the doors are prone to rust out and the window seals are probably trashed. Look at the interior of the bed all the way forward. The bed floors rust out due to poor drainage.
Sounds like a good deal unless it has been used as a stump jumper.
