04 EB Clicking noise with the rear heat is turned off

As the title says when the rear fan is turned off a continued clicking sound. She leaves the fan on no clicking. Could there be some type of blend door not closing or opening. Seems to be on the right side in the rear of the vehicle.

There are two blend doors back there, the actuators are notorious for breaking. Try switching from floor to ceiling and from hot to cold to see which one it is. One is very easy to fix, the other a bit more cumbersome.

I have tried that but can not remember the results. I will check it out again and report back.

She has to leave it set on the ceiling with no heat to the back to get it to stop. It clicks with any other setting. Any input would be helpful.
Thanks

You can pull the change tray in the right rear, below the window. There is one actuator right there - the one that changes floor to ceiling. If you unplug it and he issue goes away then that's the one. If not, it is either the other one or both. Typically around $40 for the part.

Pulled it apart tonight. It is not the one on top. It is the one on the side. Of course the one that's a pain to change. What is it called?

Thanks
Tim

Blend door actuator. There are two different part numbers, you need to make sure you get the one for the temperature door.
