A question for the pet lovers...

I now have a 97 f350 crew cab, I want to get a pet hammock for my dogs but the ones I am finding are way to small for a crew cab truck. Do any of you have any thing like that? Or do you folks use something else to protect the upholstery?

A seat cover and a lint roller is all I know.

A pet Hammock?? Never heard of that... u got a pic?

I have an old f150 supercab, I fold down the rear seat and fold up an old canvas tarp to throw in, same thing in my '85 Bronco II, works very well in both trucks, two dogs, one about 65lbs the other about 110lbs.

Are you referring to something like this?

If so it looks like it might do the job... I have an extended cab, so like one of the other posters I fold down the back seat and I have a piece of carpet I put in to keep it from being slick for better footing.. BTW my dogs are a 125lb Malamute and a 105lb Husky.

So thats basically what I do, but the canvas tarps are heavy enough they dont move around so they dont need to be attached. I live on a farm so the mutts are often dirty and/or wet jumping in, the canvas is durable and easy to clean with a garden hose and a broom.

We bought one from Duluth Trading (in 2005) and have used it in everything from a 5 series BMW to our '07 SuperCrew, just loops over the front and rear headrests. Will hold three 60-80 lb. dogs at once.

Funny I am having a problem with finding a comfty place for my Golden (he looks exactly like the picture whitexlt posted ironically). The back of my back seat when folded down is metal I'm going to try the carpet method I think.

My favorite setup for dogs was a SuperCab with the back seat folded down. Kept them off the upholstery, and let them get up close to me without getting out of the back seat. I laid a rubber-backed bathroom rug out back there for them. The rubber backing kept the rug from sliding around and it was cheap and easy to find one that sort of matched the color.

Now with a crew cab I have an old blanket I lay over the seat (including the seat back). Biggest problem is that when the dogs decide they need some human contact they can't really reach from the back seat. The bigger one can stand on the floor and stick his head over the console, but he prefers climbing onto the console, which is more in the way. And the little one can only reach by jumping onto the console. That hammock looks like a possibility, but it seems like kind of an unstable platform if they aren't on the back seat.

Thanks for all the input. I have 2 dogs so hearing about everybody with multiple pooches helps a lot.

I think that I will look into this one as it seems well priced and reviewed.
It doesn't look too bad either.
