I have a 72 F100 that has chrome going down the sides. I am needing to get those off to do some body work but cannot figure out how without causing more damage to the truck. Any suggestions.

I'm new here too and it looks like you've posted your question on a wrong thread... Don't ask me how to do, I don't know ...

To answer your question: normally they 'pop' off, using a tool that goes behind the chrome and then pulls it off. If you don't have that tool: first check if you can find the clips on the other side and push them through. If not you can try with a large flat screwdriver and be very very carefull.
