1997 f-350 blistein 5100 series shock

Hello all,

I no this topic has been covered before and I have read all the threads but one never seems to come to an conclusion.

What is everyone doing for the 1997 f-350 blistein shocks? Seems as if they don't make them as I have been searching sites.

I would also like a blistein 5100 dual steering stabilizer.

Thanks for the help.

5100 series are the same thing at the 4600 series just LONGER for LIFTED trucks.

Do you have lift? If not then use the 4600

As for steering stabilizers they make the 5100 series steering dampener.

But I have said it before and I will say it again, if you NEED a steering dampener, you have something else wrong. they just MASK problems

Yes sir ur right. I don't need one just thought it would help the truck steer better. It rides great for a straight axle but definitely could use some good quality shocks. I don't want to put the 4600 on because there ugly as hell. Yes I'm picky about this kinda stuff.

The truck does have a 2.5" leveling kit with 35s.

I will be towing a boat this truck truck in the summer and hauling some wood. But want a good riding shock.

I double checked with Bilstein, all they offer is the 4600 yellow shock for standard height trucks. The 4600 is about 10% stiffer than the 5100 but constructed the same.

You may be able to find a close enough universal bilstein 5125 that may work.

There are Rancho & ProComp shocks out there and more as well. Let me know if I can be of any more help

I also called blistein. Will the 5125 hold up to the front end ride? That's why the man told me they didn't make the 5100 because the valves or something like that couldn't handle the rough ride. He told me he could revalve them for $65 a piece.

Is there any direct fit for the 5125?
The truck has a 2.5" leveling kit.

Thanks everyone.

The 4600 shock is
Collapsed Length: 14.21 in / 361 mm
Extended Length: 22.68 in / 576 mm

The 9" (33-186542) will probably work best for you. I would confirm the valving with Bilstein though.

I'm wanting the 5125 or 5100 series. Silver ones. Or maybe another brand shock?
