7.3 fuel check valve

is there a fuel check valve to prevent the fuel form draining the fuel filter? every morning it takes a while to start. after the first start of the day it is alright

7.3 fuel check valve

There are CV's in the end of each head to hold pressure in the fuel rails, but none in the filter that I am aware of.

Do you wait for the pump to cycle before you crank it?
