Sold the Model A pickup. New addition already home
It was a really nice pickup, but I'm a big guy and I didn't fit too well inside. So I sold it and purchased a car for my wife for Valentine's Day
. 1989 Pontiac Formula 350. My first real job was a technician at a Pontiac dealership from 1989-1992. I was there when these were new. It's really a clean car, 57,400 miles. She already has a 1978 silver anniversary corvette but I wanted to get something fuel injected for her.

I used to have a White 1988 Firebird Formula, loved the car, fun to drive, but Pontiac had issues with their paint process so I had panels where the white would just flake off down to the primer. Had several panels painted by the local Pontiac Dealership 3 different times under warranty due to this issue, where finally the Dealership invoked the lemon law for me because they didn't want to have to spend anymore time painting the car. They were as frustrated as I was.
Ended up swapping it our for a 1989 Grand Am.

thanks, Stacy didn't have a preference but I did. I didn't want a 305 car and definitely not a trans am with all the ground effects. That plastic is brittle these days. The Formula was the cleanest and the lightest of all the "F" body cars. Side note you couldn't get t tops with the 350 due to body twist. It's a runner for sure.
Now she can't complain when I bring something new home. I'm ready to head out on the road again as I sold the Gray 56 panel last week too.

Kevin,
Congrats to your wife and you on the new Pontiac! It should be a nice ride! I understand not fitting in the early Fords! Our 32 truck is pretty tight for me too.
So my wife bought me a new toy for Christmas. A larger slightly more modern car too.
On a separate note:
I am looking for a complete set of good condition used 54 Ford truck hood emblems for a friends grandsons truck.
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

he actually already has a 56 panel for 30 years. He wanted the rear doors and figures to rob what he wants and put his parts back on it and resell it

the Beach Boy's lost lyrics...."She'll have fun, fun, fun, till Kevin takes the Firebird away"
Just joking Kevin, I met Stacy and she seems too nice to be getting in trouble with that 350. You can share this post with her for a chuckle I hope. And I know what you mean about the 305....had one in my Monte SS.

I bought my son a 1993 Z-28 Camaro, a few years ago, for his first car. It had 12,000 original miles. Now it only has about 25,000. He loves it.
I had a 1978 Corvette Pace Car with 15 original miles. I had it for about 20 years. It is now in a museum and it still has 15 original miles.
